Hello Fellow Shooters,
As 2025 comes to a close, it’s time to renew your membership for 2026. Membership dues will remain $30 for this year, but please be aware that an increase may be necessary next year.
During the COVID-19 years, the club was unable to rent the building for weddings, reunions, and other events, which reduced income. On the positive side, membership increased by about 25%, which helped offset some of that loss. At this time, the club is in good financial shape. We are not here to make money—only to cover expenses and keep the club running.
So where does your money go?
Land and school taxes: approximately $4,200
Insurance: approximately $1,600
Utilities: approximately $1,800
That’s about $7,600 per year just to keep the club open. While donations are never required, they are always appreciated—and the club has never refused one.
In 2025, we successfully held our annual Fishing Derby, and it was an excellent time for everyone involved. The kids had fun, won prizes, and the volunteers enjoyed it, too. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be doing it again this year—May 16th is the date. Let’s make it another great one!
The range was maintained as best as possible this past year, and it’s great to see more members helping keep the area clean and orderly. This is your range, and we should all take pride in it.
With that in mind, we should also look out for one another. Over the past few years, many new gun owners have joined—some with little or no prior experience. If you see someone who may be unfamiliar with safe firearm handling, please don’t hesitate to offer friendly help. Several reports of unsafe activity were brought to my attention last summer, and most issues can be resolved simply by speaking up. It doesn’t have to be me—any member can help, and most people appreciate it.
Please remember that when the clubhouse is rented, the range is closed. Closure dates will be posted on this webpage.
On some rental days, events don’t begin until the afternoon. If you arrive and no one is present, it is generally okay to shoot. If there are people in the clubhouse, please ask them—sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s not. When in doubt, just ask. If you’re ever unsure, feel free to call me.
That’s all for now. I’ll update this page as needed.
Have a safe year, and I’ll see you on the range.
